We have received an update from our attorney, Mark McGuire, regarding the proposed development of the DMV site. According to Mr. McGuire, it is his understanding that Space Investment Partners, the owner of the property, has determined that the site does not qualify for residential development “by right” under California Assembly Bill 2011. On February 9 at 6:00 PM, we welcomed Mayor Rick Loeffler, City Manager Andy Hall, and City Planning Chairman Cameron Cosgrove to the clubhouse for a town hall meeting. Attendance was outstanding, with approximately 150 homeowners present. Shorecliffs Beach Club is pleased to welcome San Clemente Mayor Rick Loeffler for a community town hall meeting at the club house on Monday, February 9 at 6:00 PM. This meeting will provide Shorecliffs residents with important updates on the recent purchase of the DMV site by Space Investment Partners, including what the City currently knows and the status of potential future development plans. Beginning January 1, 2026, Shorecliffs Beach Club will transition to Compass Property Management  for association management. Compass will mail the Annual Assessment  in early December.
